How it works
What is covered
Four products have saved comparisons. Other models, storage sizes, later revisions and accessories are not covered, and TruePrice says so instead of guessing.
- AirPods Pro (2nd generation) — original 2022 model with lightning charging case
- Sony WH-1000XM5 — black or platinum silver, as launched
- iPhone 15 — 128 gb, standard 6.1-inch model
- PlayStation 5 — original 2020 console with ultra hd blu-ray disc drive
Where prices come from
Each original price is the manufacturer’s announced launch price in the market named on the comparison. Every page links to that announcement. If you paste a link, only recognisable model words are read from it — nothing is downloaded from the shop.
The inflation data
Euro-area all-items HICP (prc_hicp_minr), unit I25, 2025 = 100. Saved snapshot retrieved 2026-09-16; the latest figure is August 2026 at 103.70, which Eurostat publishes as an estimate. This is a saved snapshot, not live data.
Original price × 103.70 ÷ launch index, rounded to cents. Percentage is (103.70 ÷ launch index − 1) × 100, rounded to two decimals.
This compares the value of money. It is not the product’s resale value, and it is not a prediction of what any shop charges today.
